Education

We are committed to advancing and modernizing educational programs to align with the latest developments in separation science and sustainable processes. Our education are aimed at the following target groups:

PhD and Postdocs
NCCR Separations supports PhD and Postdocs through the NCCR Exchange Program, enabling PhD students and postdocs to collaborate across laboratories, gain complementary expertise, and benefit from tailored mentoring and career development. Strong links with industry are fostered through visits. Complementary activities, including training in transferable skills, summer schools, etc are under development.

Bachelor and Master Students
NCCR Separations is dedicated to training future scientific leaders by developing interdisciplinary projects for undergraduate and master’s students, particularly through initiatives such as the EPFL MAKE Programme and other institutional initiatives. In parallel, we will create specialized modules in separation sciences and contribute to collaborative programs with partners such as HES-SO Valais.

Children, Parents and Educators
NCCR Separations engages educators, students, and parents by promoting scientific curiosity through active participation in leading outreach events across Switzerland and beyond. We complement these activities with participation to outreach events that strengthen connections between schools and our research, offering hands-on experiences with cutting-edge science.
